Laura St Amant

Laura St Amant is a Toronto-based artist of Metis, Anishinaabe, and Ukrainian background. Working primarily in acrylic paint, their work explores themes of identity, place, colonization, and occasionally the absurdity of contemporary life and art. St Amant graduated with a Bachelors of Fine Art in Drawing and Painting from OCAD University in 2017. Their work has been shown at Xpace and Daniels Spectrum and was featured in TV shows Kim’s Convenience and How to Fail as a Pop Star.
