May 8–31, 2025

Ten years ago, in early February, I walked into the remnants of 605 Whiteside Place (TCH) in Toronto to document another Regent Park building during active demolition. I wondered about the many families and communities who had lived there and where they had gone.  Would they return 10 years later and move into a shiny new tall condo buidling?

Unable to safely access the apartments individually via the blocked half-demolished staircases, I chose to photograph the many colourful rooms from the outside, which allowed me to create a record of the entire apartment building and a glimpse of the lives lived.
