Sadie MacDonald

Nova Scotian-born and Toronto-based, Sadie MacDonald obtained a Master of Museum Studies from the University of Toronto in 2018. As a curator, she has assisted with exhibitions at the Woodstock Art Gallery, the Thomas Fisher Rare Book Library, and the Toronto Ward Museum. She was also a research assistant to Kent Monkman and Gisèle Gordon on the The Memoirs of Miss Chief Eagle Testickle: A True and Exact Accounting of the History of Turtle Island, a finalist for the 2024 Governor General’s Literary Award for Fiction. MacDonald is inspired by the complexities that emerge from the confluences of art, history, and culture, and seeks to bridge these forces in her multidisciplinary interpretive practice.
