Samuel Choisy

Samuel Choisy est un artiste et un éducateur franco-ontarien qui travaille principalement avec la photographie. Choisy favorise une approche subjective et jubilatoire du medium, sa recherche se caractérise par l’expression du mouvement, l’usage de la peinture lumineuse et la photographie au sténopé . Choisy est diplomé de l’École de l’Image d’Angoulême (1999) et de l’École Régionale des Beaux-Arts de Nantes (2001), il est le récipiendaire du Chamlers Arts Fellowship (2015) ainsi que de nombreuses bourse du Conseil des Arts de l’Ontario, et du Conseil des Arts du Canada, son travail a été exposé en Europe, USA et Canada et fait parti de plusieurs collections particulières. Samuel Choisy vit et travaille à Toronto, Ontario.

Samuel Choisy is a Franco-Ontarian visual artist and educator working primarily with photography. Choisy favors a subjective and playful approach to the photographic medium. His research is characterized by the expression of movement, the use of light painting techniques and pinhole photography. Choisy graduated from l’École de l’Image d’Angoulême (1999) and l’École des Beaux-Arts de Nantes (2001-France). He is the recipient of the (2015) Chamlers Arts Fellowship and other grants from the Ontario Arts Council and Canada Arts Council. His work has been exhibited in Canada the US and Europe and is part of numerous private collections. Samuel Choisy lives and works in Toronto, ON.
