The Lyceum Gallery is pleased to open Cerebellum by abstract Canadian painter Julie Fader.
Beginning Thursday, you will be able to view the work through the windows, in the online viewing rooms or use the scheduler on the website to book a private view.
Julie Fader’s work rests at the nexus point of conscious thought and visual patterning. Her improvisations flow through colour and shape, simultaneously constrained and unfettered. They call upon the experience of the individual to freely associate with the succinct energy of each work.
Julie is a Toronto-based painter and professional musician. As a musical artist, she has toured and performed around the world in collaboration with renowned Canadian recording artists.
Julie’s signature abstract pointillist painting style was transformed after she sustained a serious head injury early last year. Her ongoing recovery has led to a brand-new visual direction that became this body of work as pointillism morphed into the connected and colourful shapescapes that comprise the Cerebellum series.
