A CNE meeting spot for generations. The Shell Oil Tower was erected in 1955 and renamed the Bulova Tower in 1973. By 1983 the elevator had become unsafe, and it was closed to the public. It was dismantled in 1985 to make way for the Molson (now Honda) Indy Track.
