Workshop Details

10 – 10:30 AM — Welcome

Served with Lyceum-blended herbal tea infusions and house-made pastry.

10:30 – 11:15 AM — Journaling

We will begin the morning with a guided reflection session. Holly will lead the group through a series of writing exercises designed to tap the creative mind and open pathways to artistic expression. Each person will record their works on handmade paper.

Holly is the co-founder and director of The Orchard Montessori School and The Orchard Lyceum. She has degrees in English, Psychology and Social Work as well as her Montessori training. She worked for a number of years in advertising and commercial art before becoming a teacher. She now leads the adolescent program at The Lyceum and curates programming and shows at The Lyceum Gallery. Holly is also a certified Restorative Yoga instructor and an amateur scribbler.

11:15 – 11:30 AM — Break

Freshly blended juice cocktail

11:30 AM-12:30 PM — Sound Bath

Next we let our creative musings settle and take time to enjoy a luxurious hour-long sound bath from Nicole Manes of Sound Response Wellness.

Nicole is a mental health and sound therapy practitioner with an extensive background in high-profile brand and entertainment communications. She now uses her skills for narrative and connection to guide the group inward and reflect with a beautiful, immersive sound bath featuring crystal quartz singing bowls, metal singing bowls, tuning forks, drum and chimes.

12:30 – 1:30 PM — Lunch

We break for a gourmet vegetarian lunch prepared by Lyceum Chef Sam Higgs, with organic wine pairing from La Palette.

Sam combines years of experience as a chef in Toronto, London, Switzerland and the Caribbean with an artistic flare. His work is a culmination of many years spent cooking in diverse kitchen settings and in creating dedicated food experiences for small audiences.

1:30 – 3:00 PM — Tarot Readings and collage

After lunch, we will rev up the right side of our brain to create a collage with Quincy Raby.

While we’re exercising our creativity, Clarity Coach and Reader Erika Schweizenheimer of Go Fish Tarot will be in the gallery giving individual readings.

Erika has gained a steadfast following for her clear and straightforward approach to intuitive readings.

Quincy is the Lyceum’s Artist in Residence. Quincy has had two shows at The Lyceum Gallery, one in her pop art hard edge painting style in 2020 called Thank You For Destroying My Life and the other a mixed media meditation on prognostication devices called You Will See Such Pretty Things in 2021. Quincy teaches mixed media, textile and pop art at The Lyceum to children and adults.

3:00 PM – 4:00 PM — Guided Meditation and Wine-down

We will loosen ourselves up our muscles and minds with a jar of handmade herbal salve from The Lyceum’s kitchen apothecary before closing our session with a guided meditation by Holly. Before leaving, we will enjoy the communion of our new-found connections over a final glass of wine.
